CODesign is proud to have designed, produced and finished the Motion Graphics, Main Title, and Visual Effects for the feature documentary “Fighting Spirit - A Combat Chaplain’s Journey”.

This film tells the story of Justin Roberts, a retired military chaplain dealing with the personal demons that haunt him from his service during the Afghanistan War. Justin’s story is interwoven with unknown stories of the dedication and bravery of the United States Chaplain Corps’ soldiers who inspired their men, saved many lives, negotiated peace, and prepared U.S. soldiers for the battles they would certainly face, and for eternity.

I wasn't aware this had been finished and published until I stumbled upon it on YouTube yesterday. I think it came out nicely. I did the hieroglyphics, the "Dutch Masters" painting "reveal, the reflection in Mona Lisa's eye, and the red titles at the end.

Kazuo Ishiguro Awarded 2017 Nobel Prize in Literature

Kazuo Ishiguro, the author of "The Remains of the Day" and "Never Let Me Go" was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature today.

I was privileged to have produced the Theatrical Trailer for the Mark Romanek’s film version of "Never Let Me Go" for Fox Searchlight at MAX-Q with Gene Gamache. Gene's sensitive and emotional trailer cut masterfully tells the deeply emotional story of a dystopian future where young adults are raised, groomed and "harvested" for the sole use of this society’s callous and humanistically disconnected privileged class.

Roger Ebert gave this film four out of four stars and wrote, “…a meditative, delicate film… a good movie, from a masterful novel”. This is a touching and deeply disturbing film that I would challenge anyone to watch and not shed at least one tear.
